GUSHER* is a creative network and community space dedicated to supporting independent filmmakers, musicians, and artists. Through shared resources, collaborative opportunities, and a space to showcase work, and to foster engagement with contemporary CULTURE in south africa and globally, we’re building a sustainable ecosystem for creatives.

With a membership-based model, regular events, and peer-to-peer support, GUSHER hq* has the potential to provide an accessible platform where artists can create, connect, and thrive together. In addition, we would offer exclusive access to professional-grade gear and studio time, empowering members to bring their creative visions to life without the barrier of expensive equipment costs.

By pooling resources through memberships and reinvesting through ticketed events, workshops, and production opportunities, we’re creating a sustainable ecosystem for artists from all around johannesburg, and eventually expanding to reach our communities in cape town & south africa as a whole. From weekly ‘Movie, Open Mic, and Trivia Nights’ to Live experiences, exhibitions, workshops, screenings and filmmaking incubation programs, GUSHER* is a hub for creative exchange, skill-building, and artistic innovation.

With the grant, we could invest in professional-grade film and music equipment to strengthen the backbone of our creative network, ensuring that creators have the tools they need to produce, distribute, and exhibit their work. This isn’t just about funding projects—it’s about creating a lasting self-sufficient infrastructure that allows independent artists to sustain themselves beyond a single opportunity and engage with communities of artists and art ENTHUSIASTS.
